How Entrepreneurs and Executives Can Develop a Writing Habit -- and Why They Should

Good article on how you can start writing.

As they say, we live in content and information times.  What do I mean?

We are all able to go online and search for things to read, videos to watch and any sort of content to consume.  We are all doing it, whatever you want in life, change your job, get a promotion, close a deal.  People are search and if you're not writing then, your not being seen.

In terms of business, I'm surprised that writing for employees isn't treated as a "must have".  Marketing is broken and the old ways of advertising, email, cold calling, events etc just don't work anymore.  But companies have people and those people are all different, all with friends and family who love them.  If you can activate these people to write about your products and services in an authentic way, this is a game changer to the way people market today.

This is an unfortunate reality because we live in a content-driven world where more than 3 million blog posts are published every day. An executive with the ability to communicate clearly through the written world can reap many benefits, including more press interviews, speaking opportunities and strategic partnerships. Executives, however, often lack the time to write. How could an executive find the time to write? By building a habit. Here's how you can get started.
