The conclusion is, that social HAS changed the world, it's changed society and changed the way we do business.

Simon makes a great comment at 15:31, which is central to sales and marketing today.

"Let's go to marketing basics ...

Who are the people I care about and want to engage?

What are the things I want to influence, in terms of their thinking and their behaviour?

What do I need to share with them (what conversations do I need to have) to change their thoughts and behaviours?"

We all know that our prospects have migrated to social

And we know that these conversations are being had on social media, NOW more than any ever, is the time to empower our sales teams to be able to have these skills.

It's about making your sales team aware of the opportunity for them.  What behaviours they need to have and what behaviours can they can leave at home.  Just the same as anything in life.

And just as we coach salespeople on inclusion, diversity, we also need to train salespeople on the rights and wrongs on social media.

And right now, if you are not doing this, your business is behind and you are already losing pipeline and revenue to those that have worked this out.

As we enter the 2023 sales kick-off (SKO) session, now is the time to start introducing these concepts to your sales team and and getting them to understand that they MUST start being able to walk "digital corridors and have digital conversations".
