We see so many organisations who have an inside-out mentality. It's all about new systems, new tools and efficiency. In a way it is, if I can save you 100 Million as a company that's worth looking at.
That said, we recently went to a company and showed them how they can make 2 Billion in additional revenue from an outside-in view point which is a completely different viewpoint. You may scoff and say, you could never make them make an additional 2 Billion! Yes, but if we are only 10% as good as we say we are, that would still make many companies sit up and listen.
Too many organisations are carried away with the latest shiny innovations, without thinking of it as a tool to fundamentally transform to better meet the needs of customers and partners. Look at your customer journey. How do you use these new tools to support sales, marketing and PR? Think about how you analyse social media and real time customer engagement data. Are you doing enough to gain actionable insights?
