Here at DLA Ignite we are about change.
Our ideal customer is one that tells us that sales and marketing is working anymore and they want to move to a modern way of selling and marketing.
Any company where cold calling, email marketing and advertising isn't getting the results it once did and where the leadership admit this and decide they need to look at something different. They will have read a lot about social selling, but don't know what it is or what it can mean for a business.
We often have people say to us "we tried social selling and it didn't work", "we did a social campaign and it didn't work", "we got a social selling guru in for a hints and tips session and nothing happened" .... we then walk them through why social is a strategy and the results we get with our social selling and influence course and we always get people's minds blown.
That's why we are all about change.
You won't win a Judo gold medal at the Olympics reading a book on Judo
When I was at school, and I think it happens at all schools there was a need to stand up for yourself. I wasn't bullied, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't bullied, I guess. I thought the answer was to get a book on Judo, read it and that would help me. The naivety of youth. Of course it didn't help at all.
I love it when people buy my first book "social selling techniques to influence buyers and change makers" but I do often see people buy and and I'm sure they spend the $20 and think this will be a silver bullet to more and better sales. You can get a copy on Amazon here.
It's a great book, well the 100 x 5 star reviews say it, but it won't transform your business.
Yesterday, I was really flattered, as salesperson started following me, because his manager had recommended following me. This is fantastic, it can get very lonely sometimes, creating content like this. The fact that people are going to read it and hopely they will get something from it, is an amazing feeling.
But ..... my blogs won't transform your business and it's transformation that your business needs right now, we know hope isn't a strategy.
Our social selling and influence training and coaching course, will transform your business, your salespeople, your pipeline, your win rate, your social and political standing in your business.
Here at DLA Ignite, we are here for change. Changing businesses and changing salespeople for the better.
So who's doing this?
In case you missed it, the Bank of America’s Merrill Lynch have banned cold calling and have moved all their people to social selling. This isn't some trendy tech company that might have decided to do this on a whim, this is a very conservative financial services company that has made a decision based on data.
But surely cold calling has a better ROI than social selling? Not according to Merrill Lynch.
"They will also be encouraged to contact prospects over LinkedIn, which has a higher hit rate than cold calling"
The CRO (chief revenue officer), Richard Eltham of Namos Solutions, of one of clients posted a comment on LinkedIn about social selling. See here.
“Social selling is not an option now it is the way of the world and you either learn and execute it or fear getting left behind”
Kevin Murray who is the Head of Sales at MacArtney Underwater Technology recently posted about his success with social selling here and wrote an article about the transformation that has happened in sales here.
