Why I write book reviews (even when no one asks)
Reading is only half the work
The real learning happens when you pause, reflect, and try to articulate what actually changed in your thinking
This year I spent a lot of time reading, across leadership, sales, technology, psychology, and change
But more importantly, I took the time to write about what I read
To challenge my own assumptions
And to acknowledge the authors who were generous enough to share their thinking
Writing forces clarity
Sharing invites conversation
Reflection turns information into insight
Somewhere along the way, those small acts of reflection added up, to 75 books, 75 reviews, and a mindset that feels sharper for it
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:
consumption alone doesn’t change much
Thoughtful reflection does
What’s one book you read this year that genuinely stayed with you?
My year in books is here
