All businesses need to be AI ready today, so if your leadership say they need an AI plan, how do you get one fast?

Or better still, why not create one for your leadership, we all love a bit of pro-activity

How do you get an AI roadmap in 7 days?

  1. Analyse what matters to your organisation - Each organisation is different but describe, what matters to your business, in terms of KPIs (key performance indicators) but also what matters in terms of purpose and impact.  We are going to “match back” to this later on
  2. Research and consider AI use cases - Search on Google, LinkedIn and the LLM of your choice, this allows you to describe what is possible with AI. It will also highlight uses cases in your industry but also cases that are generic.  Don't forget that for a company to have ambition, they need to look outside of their industry for ideas and have the hunger to apply them.  It's a bit like the Amazon website, when it offers you options, “if you like this, maybe you will like this”
  3. Evaluate the value of each of the use cases - This is where you match back the AI use cases to the KPIs and values you itemised in 1.  Be sure to use numerical values, as a CEO I want to see, if we invest $X, we will get $Y in return.  Or we need to do project Z as it matches our values.  Talking in the language of the board is critical. Don't forget the measure isn't always $ related, it could be speed to market or an increase in customer service
  4. Evaluate the cost and effort in each use case - You need to turn this list into some form of priority.  You can do this by taking each of these use cases and ranking them by “low complexity” and “high complexity”.  You also need to rank them by impact to the business
  5. Present your findings - Taking the case studies above you can then plot them on a “boston square” (quadrant matrix) with complexity being on the X axis, from high to low complexity. And with impact on the y axis, plotting from low to high impact.  The best results should appear in the top right corner and the worst in the bottom left.  You are now ready to present your findings to leadership.  You might want to create different matrices for different stakeholders, a matrix showing a reduction in the number of employees might not be politically sensitive to certain audiences

In today’s fast-moving digital world, waiting for an AI strategy is no longer an option, speed and proactivity are key

By taking just 7 days to analyse what matters to your business, explore relevant AI use cases, assess value and complexity, and present a clear, actionable roadmap, you can position yourself as a strategic enabler of change

Leadership doesn’t just want plans, they want insight, initiative, and impact

So why wait for permission?

Build the AI roadmap your organisation needs now, and lead the conversation before someone else does
