LinkedinLive is a great way to use the medium of video / podcasting to reach your prospects and customers with your influence and expertise.

Let's not forget we are on social media to start conversations, as conversations create sales.

The DLA Ignite definition of social selling is

"Using your presence and behaviour on social media, to build influence make connections, grow relationships and trust.  Which leads to conversation and commercial interaction".

LinkedInLive, video and podcasts have the ability to tick all those boxes.

A bit about the Resteam technology

Here at DLA Ignite, we have looked and used all the restream technologies and have decided to standardise on Restream.  It is Restream where our interviews take place and we send a link out to speakers be for the podcast so they can access Restream.  It is this software that transmits the video to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube etc.  As a user you don't need to worry about any of this.

Restream will also create the instances on the various social media networks, so you don't have to worry about this either.

What is a LinkedinLive and what do I need to do?

Restream automatically sets up a LinkedinLive, my advice is that it might needed tidying up so it looks good to the reader on LinkedIn.  For example, you might to add emojis.

You will also need to add your speaker, the reason for this is that LinkedIn allows each speaker to invite 1,000 guests.

So how as a speaker do I add guests?

Click on the event on Linkedin and it should open up like this.

Click on the share button and it will open like this

To invite people, click on invite  and it will open up like this

All you have to do is search by name, here I searched for Tim Lewis, click beside the photo and then invite

Searching on Tim Lewis again, I can see he has been invited

Hope this helps.
