To many digital it's straight forward, it's a new cloud ERP system or some application.  Enterprise software companies spread a message that the digital strategy has to be based on applications. Of course they say that, it's how they make their money.

But digital is actually how we work as humans, it's the processes we use.

Our digital strategy must be based on our people and process. That is where the competitive advantage sits.

What do I mean?

One of our clients has stopped paying for recruitment consultants and placing job ads because the employees have digital skills, which has created new digital processes.  Just think of the cost this has stripped out of the business, by being more efficient and effective.

We know that with our own partners that are selling using digital, rather than analog methods such as cold calling and spam email, that they are getting a far great response. Again, think about the growth they can get by using digital.

These are just a few examples of where a digital business is driving to new operating models by empowering their teams with digital skills, which have created new digital processes.
