When Adam Gray and I started DLA Ignite, people laughed at us

We were told that social media was a fad and no CEO would ever use it

Here we are nearly 9 years later and just looking at LinkedIn, there are many a CEO now posting

It's something we are very proud of

Why are CEOs on social?

There is a clear business case - investment in social gives a monetary return for the business

In this blog, back in 2023 I shared

"The most-followed CEOs on social media secure greater investment in fact 20% more investment on Linkedin and 5.4% more investment on X (Twitter)

LinkedIn is the social media platform of choice for startup leaders, 94% of unicorn CEOs are on Linkedin"

There clearly is a place for CEOs on social media

But it's interesting that companies have still not connected the dots between empowering their sales teams on social and delivering revenue

Maybe because social is still seen as a place for broadcast marketing, such as advertising or the way that people “post and hope"

They post and hope that something will happen, rather than follow a strategy where they know there will be a return for their efforts

Have you connected the dots between social media and revenue yet?

Can you drive revenue from social media?

Social selling is not about samming people or inmails or connect and pitch

Our definition of social selling is

"Using your presence and behavior on social media to build influence, make connections, grow relationships and trust, which leads to conversation and commercial interaction"

And the results?

For an AE, we can shorten sales cycles by 30%

And the average SDR will get 1 x ICP meeting a day

Which should increase your revenue by 20%

You can get these results by using our social selling methodology, that is certified by Institute of Sales Professionals (ISP)
