We recently received some feedback from a prospective customer who had been reviewing the social selling market
Their observation was simple but powerful:
“Every company said the same thing and gave the same advice, except you"
That’s because our approach to social selling is different
Take LinkedIn summaries as an example
Most so-called “experts” will tell you to cram your title with keywords and pack your summary with what you do
But this isn’t just bad advice, it’s one of the worst forms of self-sabotage you can commit on LinkedIn
Why?
Because LinkedIn’s architecture and the psychology of how people engage with profiles mean have a Linkedin summary which tells you what you do and / or keyword-stuffed summaries actually work against you
Instead of attracting opportunities, they push them away
Why would you tell people to do things that actually push people away, we think it's totally bizarre
And the fact that people actually follow this advice is totally inconceivable
So while most social selling suppliers recycle the same tactics, we focus on strategy, psychology, and the science of influence
Conclusion
If you think all “social selling experts” are the same, you’re almost right
Most of them are
But if you’re looking for a company that challenges conventional wisdom and delivers results by doing things differently, you’ve just found one
