When I was at Capgemini, there were people there that saw it as important to be the cleverest person in the room

Not Danny, he knew it was more important what people thought of you when you left the room

This was emphasised by the reflections on Danny read out by Lara is wife and his 2 daughters Rosie and Lily

(Apologies if I didn’t capture them all)

  1. Be helpful – it might be about helping somebody cross the street or buying things for the person in the hospital bed for you
  2. Be there for people – Always have time for people, be empathetic and take time to step forward when people are down
  3. Love – but don’t just love, tell people you love them
  4. Share – share what you have, your knowledge (what makes an excellent French cheese)
  5. Take risks – And don’t get caught

Danny also lived by a code, which was “never drive a rubbish car”

The photo is of an E-Type Jaguar, which he leaves to his family
