For me as a child it was part of my Sunday night routine, polishing my shoes.  When I went into the world of work, I wore a suit, everybody did, until things started to change.

First there was dressdown (casual) Friday, which meant on Friday's you didn't need to wear a suit.

Then certain job roles meant you didn't need to wear a suit. I know people who wore jeans and t-shirts during the day and had suits (and a shirt with a collar) on the backs of their office doors in case they had a customer meeting.

Then of course Covid hit and we had two years of working from home.  My suits haven't been touched for years.  I got one out of its package recently to attend a funeral.

The shoes I wore with those suits, many of them I cannot wear. Working from home my feet have got soft.  This is just some ways in how the world has changed.

How business has changed through mobile, internet, social media and Covid

Which leads me onto this article, here.

Shoe polish giant, Kiwi, pulls products from UK as sales plummet due to trainers / sneakers and Covid.

Covid has seen more and more people opting to work from home, accelerating a drop in sales.

This has also meant you buyer is now digital.

What got you here, won't get you there

The days when B2B sales or marketing people could overtly refute the importance of social media are thankfully long gone, but that doesn’t mean how to use it successfully in B2B revenue generating activities is universally understood. Far from it, in fact, and that’s the case I make in my new book.
