Recent research shows that just 11% of CEOs in the UK and 6% in Australia have "digital" on their CV.

But really does that matter?

When I worked at Oracle Corporation our CEO at the time Larry Ellison had many strengths and weaknesses.  But like any successful CEO he knew what they were and surrounded himself with the best people that could supplement him.

The competitive advantage in 2018 isn't that your CEO has digital on their CV, but what are they doing about understanding the digital world.

For example hiring a CXO, reverse mentoring, reading books and blogs, the key thing for the CEO in the digital age is that they see life as continuous learning opportunity and digital and social is part of their journey.
