This week, I’ve had the privilege of taking my 87-year-old mum and her 81-year-old boyfriend to La Gomera

She believes it may be the last time she travels and there was only one place she wanted to return to: this island

La Gomera isn’t just a destination for her

It’s a place rich with memory, peace, and presence

She used to come here with my Dad and this visit marks her 15th time

As we sat watching the sunset, she said quietly,

“This is where I feel most myself.”

Moments like these remind me of what truly matters: not the number of trips we take, but the meaning they hold

Legacy isn't always about what we build in business; sometimes it's about what we hold onto in our hearts

Grateful

Humbled

And reminded of the power of returning to places, to people, and to the parts of ourselves that still remember
