I flew into Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the flight was late at night

Because my body clock was still on UK time, I woke up really early

I didn't roll over and go back to sleep, I got up and went exploring

The hotel was right on Copacabana beach

So there I was walking along Copacabana beach at sun rise

At that time the joggers had started their early morning run

Nobody is playing beach volley … yet

And no need to dodge any rogue soccer balls

But the waves are still perfect

Your beach day is guaranteed to be anything but boring

Just don't forget your sunscreen 

Rio is a beautiful place

But, like any big city, London included

Remember …

Don't go off the beaten track

Know where you are going, how you are getting there 

And how you will get back

Don't wear anything that could be seen as an outward display of wealth

Such as designer clothes, watches etc

Keep your phone well hidden

Always keep your wits about you

You'll have a great time
