You have to agree (come on for once) with Mark Hurd that everybody is coming out with a chatbot, I watched a whole bunch of tech vendors coming out with a chatbot, all pretty much doing the same thing.
I had to giggle recently a well meaning Tech Salesman cornered me at a product launch to show me their chatbot for travel expenses, when I pointed out it was just similar in Xero to take a photo of the receipt and upload, he looked like his new kitten had been run over.
Chatbots will be useful and I'm looking forward to innovation, but when they are rock music rather than pop music.
"Everybody in [Silicon] Valley's saying they're in AI," Hurd said during an NYSE Fireside Chat. Hurd went on to note that he thinks many companies that push their involvement with AI are looking to increase stock prices.
