Is market economics catching up with the AI market?

In this article, Cathie Wood talks about the big 4 players in AI becoming 2

It reminds me of market economics and how this always plays out

You are probably aware In marketing there is usually only 2, 3 maybe 4 big players

Take the CRM market you have Salesforce as market leader

Then Hubspot, Msft Dynamics and then a long tail of small vendors

In ERP, (the market I worked in) there was Oracle (who I worked for), SAP and Workday

The only way you can get from being a small vendor to get to being a big vendor is to spend more than the big vendors on marketing

That means having a bigger marketing budget than the market leader

That means spending more on sales, so having more sales people than the market leader

OR by doing something disruptive

If you are a vendor and want to do something disruptive in the market, DM me

Cathie Wood says the AI race has already shrunk to the ‘Big 4’ key players, and it could soon drop to 2
