Did you see the recent post on LinkedIn, here, by Jesse Ouellette that
"Sales Sequencing will die painfully in 2023.
Spam filters will block 100% of cold e-mail sequences.
IYKYK (if you know, you know)"
If you didn't know most email companies, Gmail for example, can detect emails sent from sales sequencing tools and push them to spam, or more than often, the emails don't even reach the destination.
Jesse, goes onto say ...
"Today, most of these bad emails are blocked.
That's why your response rates are abysmal.
Your open rates are lying to you, so you aren’t aware.
If you were getting your emails into the inbox, you'd be getting a lot of "not interested" or "take me off your list"."
I for one, always unsubscribe, or create rules in emails so all future emails will go straight into the waster-paper basket.
Jesse, goes onto say ...
"You aren't. This means you're in Spam. You're trapped there.
By the end of 2023, 100% of them will be blocked ..... "
He goes onto say
"Sequences will identify you as a Spammer, very quickly now.
And next year, I predict is the last year anyone uses "Sequencing" the way it's being used today.
Will you be taking cold e-mail sequencing into 2023?"
So often we see these comments and the answer to "cold emails" is "warm emails", or it it "tepid emails", I never can remember, it is always degrees of "hotness". Either way, it's re-arranging deckchairs on the Titanic.
