I can't live without cold calling, I can't live without spending hours trying to get people to take my calls.
Guess what? It fails time and time again - selling has changed.
So, if you love cold calling and refuse to acknowledge change - what can you do? Come up with yet another way of dressing up cold calling and clinging on to a failing sales technique
Timeboxing! As if salespeople never put time aside for tasks in the past! We aren't stupid.
Let me leave you with this thought - if cold calling was so great why is the internet full of 'experts' explaining new ways to cold call because the 'old way' isn't working?
PS. I'm actively prospecting whilst I type this :)
Batching. Blasting. Replying. Cold calling. That’s what your sales reps are doing each and every day. The problem? They’ve got very little to show for all their hard work. It’s not because you hired a subpar sales team. A majority of sales reps are in the same situation. In fact, Salesforce reported that 57 percent of sales reps were expected to miss their quotas. Economic factors and changing customer needs are definitely factors, but the main culprit is that sales reps are falling short of customer expectations. In particular, customers are demanding a more personalized experience.
